How to Know God

God loves you and has a plan for your life!

The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10).

God knew that we would sin and need to be reconciled to Him.

The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

The result of sin is death, eternal separation from God (Romans 6:23).

We cannot save ourselves.  So, God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins.

The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ died for sinners. “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

But it didn’t end with His death on the cross. He rose again and still lives!  “In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3).

We receive salvation through Jesus by faith and ask His forgiveness.

The Bible says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

Faith is a confiding trust. It involves our intellect, emotions and will.

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12).
